This will always be the way I picture The Big Hurt - no matter what uniform he's wearing.

UPDATE

Hot Dogs! Armour Hot Dogs! What Kind Of Crazy Kids Eat Armour Hot Dogs?!

(also moved the Armour Hot Dogs Coupon from Page 3, Unusual Gallery to Page 45)

IMHO, arguably one of the more important card 'finds' of the past few years. Validates & proves several theories regarding various Pinnacle Brand cards and production methods.

Why do you sometimes call him "Big Frank" instead of "Big Hurt"? (also a new page in the magazines section)

A major mystery solved. Well, at least to me it was, 'major' I mean. <laugh> :-D

Two fantastic discoveries & additions to the 1998 Pinnacle Bankruptcy Issues!
#1 - 1998 Pinnacle Performers Swing For The Fence Mirror Upgrade

#2 - 1998 Donruss Crusade (Issue Type Unknown)

Added 8 Pages to the Advertising Section. I scream, you scream, we all scream for: FroZsnacks Ice Cream!

Added 9 Pages to the Unusuals Gallery. Again - some surprising & neat things.

Added 2 Pages to the Oversized Section

Added 3 Pages to the Magazines Section

Added 1 Page to the Baseball, Bats, Equipment Section

Added 3 Pages to the T-Shirt Section

Added 2 Items to My Favorites

Added 1 Page to the Reebok Section.
Quite possibly one of the nicest & coolest Big Hurt items I have ever encountered! {:-D

Added 3 Pages to the You Asked/Mysteries Section. Some surprising & neat things - check it out. Also replaced the Temp Gallery (Page 5) with a new, and I think, very cool 'Pirates' item.
*Obviously written before the bluebirds cut Big Frank, but I'm being true to the site's intent and leaving this intact.

Cards Gallery IV, 22 Pages added. In case it's overlooked - that's *89* scans. Concept/Design, located & pulled from of their boxes, scanned, and digitally cleaned up. Not the easiest thing in the world. <friendly push> :-D

1995 Big Hurt Fan Club Membership Card. Yes, finally got one!

Added 4 Questions to You Asked. Including a question that I've been working on for nearly 2 years now. I hope it answers your question SL. <nod> ;-D
Also, one updated link (RE: "XXXX" Pinnacle Promos, same link as YAMTG Section)

Added 1 Item to the Fakes, Frauds & Counterfeits Page

Various articles and items that I found interesting or relevant to collecting The Big Hurt.

• Amended 1991 Checklist. See that - 7 years down the road and I'm STILL editing these darn checklists.

• Collector's Note: Based on the new SCD Standard Catalog, and the changes made after Bob Lemke left, I can no longer recommend the Standard Catalog over the Beckett Almanac. Neither are worth the price. But if push comes to shove, I would say go with the Almanac and talk with other Thomas Specialists for questions you may have. I have attempted to edit all areas where I recommend the Standard Catalog, but I might have missed a few, so if you see it - either ignore the recommendation and/or let me know and I'll edit it.

• Collectors Please Note: If you have sent me an email anytime in the past five months to the address that says "compuserve.com", please note that account was canceled. I tried very hard to update every link on the site, but there must be a good couple of dozen pages where that link was made, so I'm sure I missed a few. If you have to contact me - please use this link.

• I've had the pleasure of getting to know several Big Hurt Collectors, many of whom have some incredible, rarely seen items. But I want to highlight one collector in particular. His name is Gary Brugier (a.k.a. MethodMan) of Toronto, Canada. While Frank was with the bluebirds, Gary sent vivid and amazing game images he took while attending games. I can't describe to you how wonderful these "live" images are, so please visit his Photobucket site. I hope other fans in the Bay area can do something similar for all fans of Big Frank.

PAST UPDATES
Another mini-update. This one due to a scam I thought had been burned out years ago. The free 1990 Bowman Checklist Poster can still be found in Summer Editions of the 1990 Topps Magazine.
I just solved a major mystery! (at least to me it was)
It involves the 01 Fleer Final Cut Patch Card seen on Page 8, Cards Gallery I. 12.12.07 {:-D
Added 3 New Items to the Advertising Section
(including an amendment to the 1991 Arena Holograms ad (see Page 3 this section)
White Whales Harpooned
(a metaphor - the actual killing of whales I find abhorrent and sickening)
New Advertising Section (still in development - more pages to come)
Frank's first ever "cap brim" insert
(to the best of my knowledge)
