To say I was surprised would be an understatement. I thought I had "solved" and "completed" my quest for this rare Big Hurt item when I obtained the Black Bat with Silver Imprint. So you can imagine what my face looked like when this badboy showed up on eBay.

Proving once again that: As much as you think you know - you don't know it all.

Collector's Note: Surprise, the 4 packs of cards that I always thought were Donruss/Leaf brands (a logical presumption since Frank was their spokesman in 1995) were in fact a mixture of various products. Upper Deck products, at least in this box, making up the majority of packs. 3 are UD and 1 from Pinnacle Sportflix. I realize now that Louisville Slugger didn't have an arrangement with a particular manufacturer. The BatterUP box clearly states: "Includes 4 Factory Sealed Foil Packs", it doesn't say '4 Insert-Name-Of-Manufacturer-Here Packs'. Louisville Slugger obviously bought out a random bunch of leftovers, likely from wholesale bulk dealers, and just stuck'em in. <g>
