there's an 'air' of authenticity about this piece. First, most counterfeiters
will produce something more valuable, not a weird tile with limited
market potential. Second,
whomever did the illustration went to some length to produce a decent
image of Frank during his Barons days. It's not something a working
con would do. Usually they'll grab some random baseball image from a
clip art book or just off the web and slap it into place. And lastly,
and this may not make sense to someone outside the design & printing
industries, but notice: The tile has two colors with tight registration
(wristbands). If
it's homemade memorabilia - it's unusually
detailed. |
