1994 Tombstone Pizza Point-Of-Purchase Display With Acrylic Frame 16-1/2W" x 20H" Purchased from a former manager of a supermarket came this sweet POP. Not only is it an unusual item, the method of display is equally interesting. It's not a typical frame in the standard sense, but sort of an acrylic "box" where the sheet is placed inside the "bottom" and a cardboard cutout, shaped to fit the box, is then inserted behind the sheet. It's then placed on a countertop or hung onto display hooks. I've seen this type of POP mostly used at fast food joints, where the retail outlets need to quickly switch-out changing promotions. Collectors Note: Along with this POP for Major League Baseball, there were two other sheets for the NFL. UPDATE (9.2.07): Just located the 1995 version of the Tombstone Pizza POP. Check it out. |
