1996 UD Diamond Destiny Gold #DD14
I know what you're thinking: "Just how is this card supposed to be tough?". This is one of those cards that's deceptively easy to dismiss. Newbie collectors mistakenly believe it's easy to both obtain and on the wallet --- neither is true.

First it's one of those pesky retail-only inserts. Second, it's EXTREMELY difficult to differentiate from the common 'bronze' regular card. Third, when (or if) you can find one - take my word for it - it'll cost a few pennies more than the guides say you should pay. Not unless you can sneak it away from an unaware seller. <wink> ;-D

1996 Summit Deja Vu #157 Artist's Proof
Another one of those cards that seem simple at first glance - but takes an eternity to locate. For me - 9 years of constant searching before I obtained an example.

Very much like the 1995 Pinnacle Checklist Artists Proof I mention in the 10 Near-Toughest List. Or the 1996 Studio Silver Press Proof in the List of The 10 Toughest.

UPDATE 11.1.07: More "White Whales" can now be seen here.
