Fake 2005 Prime Patches
Sold by PhotoKing0313 (eBay ID)

You have to remember this guy specializes in mat cutting for photographs. He says so right in his auction advertising.
It's a skill he's obviously adapted to a new lucrative endeavor.
This was his first effort. You can clearly see he made "stuffing" mistakes. So much so that most of the regulars on eBay spotted it and did not bid. It still sold - but not for the $425 that the only real 2003 All-Star Game Patch went for back in February 2006; selling for a bit more than his start price of $125.

Notice the edge damage he caused when inserting in the patch. He won't make that mistake again - at least not as obviously.
And here (7/12/06) is his latest "find".
Surprise, yet another 2005 Prime Patches which features the key portion of the 2003 All-Star Game patch.
What a lucky guy huh???

His technique has gotten much better and you can barely make out the screw-ups.

Don't say you weren't warned.

I have a prediction to make. Drumroll please.

I predict that within 6 weeks from this writing (July 30, 2006) - PhotoKing0313 will have "discovered" yet another amazing Prime Patch card of Frank Thomas. Check back here in at the end of October.
