Unreleased / Pinnacle Brands Bankruptcy Issue
One of the last cards from Pinnacle Brands before they went bankrupt. These final issues were likely taken out the 'backdoor' by employees of Pinnacle who were trying to get some compensation from a company unlikely to pay them for their work. It's also possible that these were legally obtained after Playoff Corp. purchased the rights to the brand names and content left after the bankruptcy.
I
know for a fact that this issue's proposed "Mirror" inserts were in
fact printed - and I also know who has them. Unfortunately, they're not
budging on letting the Mirror Red and Mirror Gold be put onto the market. Or
more specifically, into my collection. But I have hopes. <wink> ;-)
To the best of my knowledge there was no Mirror "Blue" version.
Very
difficult to say how many of these badboys are out there - but suffice to say
that the numbers are likely to be quite small indeed.

UPDATE! (2/28/07): For the first time since 2004 - another Pinnacle Bankruptcy Frank has surfaced. To
say that I was shocked would be a tremedous understatement. Not that
one finally made it to the market, but it's of a wholly unknown subset
from '98 Pinnacle Certified called "Certified Legends". |
